JUNIORS 2026 PROGRAMME

Football for players turning age 5 to 12 in 2026.

  • ​ALL PLAYERS must wear moulded sole football & shin pads


First Kicks​ - U5 Term Programmes Mixed

  • Turning 4 and 5 years old in 2026
  • @ Crum Park Friday’s 4.30pm – 5.30pm term time (excluding public holidays)
  • Station rotation and small sided games format
  • Players grouped each week (no set teams)

  • Bay Olympic Nike Junior Strip incl shirt, shorts & socks
  • (bibs are supplied for all in-house competitions)
  • ​Sneakers / Sandshoes can be worn

Bay Ballers – U6 & U7 Term Programmes Mixed

  • Turning 6 and 7 years old in 2026
  • @ Crum Park Friday’s 4.30pm – 5.30pm term time (excluding public holidays)
  • Station rotation and small sided games format. Every 4th week small sided only
  • Players grouped each week (no set teams)

U8 Inhouse Mixed

  • Turning 8 years old in 2026
  • @ Crum Park Friday’s 5.45pm – 6.45pm (excluding public holidays) follows NRF Junior calendar.
  • x3 15-minute games rotation format
  • 5 aside (4 plus GK) with junior goal
  • Set teams optimum squad size 7-8 players.
  • x1 training per week subject to coach/group leader availability.

U9 Inhouse Club hub Mixed & Girls Teams     

Local Club Hub inhouse football with Bay Olympic, Lynn Avon and Mt Albert Ponsonby Clubs.

  • ​​​​​​​Girls Teams for players turning 8/9/10 in 2026
  • Mixed Teams for players turning 9 years old in 2026
  • @ Ken Maunder Park Saturday morning (time tbc) follows NRF Junior calendar.  
  • Anderson Park and Olympic Park as alternate venues throughout season (to be scheduled).
  • x2 25-minute halves
  • 35m x 25m field (or as close too)
  • 5 aside (4 plus GK) with junior goal
  • Set squads of 12 for training purposes that split into two game day squads, mixed up each week i.e. 2 groups of 6 to maximise game time. Two group leaders per squad, x1 training per week subject to group leader availability.​​​​​​​

Dual age band U10/U11, U13/U15

Our Community Girls teams are for players who prefer to play at a more social level of football.

  • Follows NRF calendar – Saturday morning
  • 7 aside
  • 50m x 30m field (or as close too)
  • Set squads optimum size 10 players
  • x1 training and x1 game per week.

  • Follows NRF calendar – Saturday morning
  • 7 aside
  • 50m x 30m field (or as close too)
  • Set squads optimum size 10 players
  • x1 training and x1 game per week

​​​​​​​U12 NRF Mixed Community

  • Follows NRF calendar – Saturday morning
  • 9 aside
  • 70m x 50m field (or as close too)
  • Set squads optimum size 12 players
  • x1 training and x1 game per week


Cancellations

Junior Ground Closures for local parks, are usually received from Auckland Council on Friday afternoons at approx. 4.00pm.

We will work to publish any ground closures via email to Coaches, Manager & Parents and on our social media channels.

Grades 10 and above - the NRF Website is updated with cancellations and fields changes. Please visit the site to confirm any changes that may affect your team.

Click Competitions, then on your Grade, then Division - ensure you have the correct date of your game. It is also advised to check this site on the day of your game as schedules can change overnight.
