BAY OLYMPIC
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Following on from the AGM held on the 25th November 2025, the club has determined that while there were 24 members present, the quorum of 20 voting members was not reached. This has resulted in a requirement to call the AGM again. We encourage all members to read the notification below regarding the 2025 AGM and follow the links and forms relevant to the AGM.

Nominations for officers and executive members and questions relating to the proposed constitution are to be submitted in writing to the secretary at  Secretary@bayolympic.co.nz no later than 5:00pm on the 6th December 2025. Nominations should be submitted on the prescribed forms - nomination form and proxy voting form.

 

All nominations and standing executive members will be posted on the Bay Olympic website on or before the 11th December 2025.

We are updating our Constitution

New legislation – the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 – requires all incorporated societies in NZ to re-register by April 2026. This Act replaces the old 1908 legislation and brings modern governance standards, clearer officer duties, and updated processes for society operations. To ensure Bay Olympic is fully compliant, we’ve updated our Constitution.

 

Next steps for members:

Members will vote on adopting the updated Constitution at our AGM on the 16th December 2025.
